World trade volume remained flat in Q3 of 2025 while its dollar value hit record high

The volume of world merchandise trade plateaued at a high level in the third quarter of 2025 following a strong first-half expansion driven by import frontloading, favourable macroeconomic conditions and rising demand for AI-related products.
